This policy explains how Swindon Shock WBC uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices, and can tell the site owner – or other companies – how the site is used. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by services we use, such as YouTube.
How we use cookies
We only use essential cookies unless you agree to more. When you first visit, a pop-up lets you accept or reject the other types, or choose for yourself. Until you agree, we block the content that would set those cookies – for example, a YouTube video shows a message instead, with a button to load it.
- Essential – Needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices. These can't be switched off.
- Videos, maps and social media – Let us show content from other websites, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps and social media posts. These services may set their own cookies and track you across websites.

Booking, payment and registration forms
Some pages include forms from other services, for example to book tickets, make a donation or register as a member. These services may set their own cookies that they need to work, such as keeping your booking secure. These are covered by their own privacy and cookie policies, listed in our Privacy Policy.
Changing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" button on this page or at the bottom of the website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings – for help, see your browser's instructions or the ICO's guidance at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website working.
To show that we have asked for consent properly, we keep an anonymous record of the choices made, with a random ID and the date. It does not include your name or IP address.
