Donate to Shock

Shock Wheelchair Basketball Club sessions are run completely free of charge to it’s members. We are only able to do this due to grants and support from the community.

Your donations go towards court hire, travel costs, coaching fees, official training and so much more.

Any little bit of help makes a huge difference.

Volunteer With Shock

Without our volunteers Swindon Shock WBC would not be what it is today.

Supporting with sessions on a Friday, helping at events, officiating on game days, drivers, our volunteers mean we can keep running the club and provide opportunities to the local community.

If you want to volunteer with Shock please get in touch.

Sponsor Swindon Shock WBC

At Shock we are always looking for new ways to expand and support our community further. Each new program comes with it’s own new cost to the club.

We have a strong vision for the programs we want to build and provide to the Swindon community and we need help to be able to make this vision come to fruition.

Whether you want to support the club as a whole, or a particular program resonates with your companies values, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch for more information.

‘For all’ Sessions

We currently run free community sessions for all ages and abilities at New College every Friday. We aim to run these free of charge for all our members.

We are looking for sponsors to support with the costs of court hire and coaching expenses.

National League

After a successful season in the EWWB friendly league we are now looking to enter the BWB National League.

This provides our players with a structured competitive environment and gives our talented players the opportunity to be recognised for their ability.

National League comes with costs for transport, court hire and official fees.

Friendly Games Program

Hosting and attending friendly games allows our less experienced players to enjoy the thrill of competitive wheelchair basketball, build connections with players in the local community and develop a healthy competitive mindset.

With National League having a 12 player team roster, we want to provide opportunities for all of our players to grow in the sport.

Friendly games come with costs for transport, court hire and official fees.

School Outreach Program

Often children with disabilities in schools are excluded from sports with their peers due to the challenges in adapting lessons to suit them.

Wheelchair Basketball is a sport that allows everyone to participate.

We want to provide lessons and after school clubs across Swindon for students to promote inclusivity and support schools to get students with disabilities active.

Schools have budgets that are becoming more limited year by year, We are looking for sponsors to support the costs of transport of equipment, equipment and coaching fees to provide schools with budget friendly Wheelchair Basketball.

Junior League

Shock WBC is filled with talented players who are unable to participate in the national League program due to age restrictions.

We want to create a Junior League team, allowing the children of Shock to develop their competitive play, create friendships and be recognised on the BWB International Pathway (pathway to team GB).

This program needs support with court hire for Junior Training and games, transport and wheelchairs more suitable for junior players.
